1958 CHRYSLER IMPERIAL 392 BLOWN HEMI ENGINE

As seen pictured here with some of my shop equipment surrounding it, I have at a Blown 392 Hemi engine. It's been totally rebuilt from the ground up and is Dyno tested at 650 HP Plus. I will supply a copy of the dyno sheet with the engine. Check the additional 6 pictures below.

At the time I made this listing, I have another listing for a 48 Ford truck with a near identical engine. As I also mentioned elsewhere, the base price of this engine from Big Al's Toy Box in Connecticut is $18,000. He does not include Stainless block hugger headers, a starter or a polished water pump and billet pump pulley at that price. I suspect that it would cost an additional 6 nor 7 hundred bucks for those items. In addition, I will include the engine stand that you see it mounted on.

48 FORD CAB & CHASSIS RAT ROD GASSER

As seen here I am offering my 1948 Ford truck project for sale. As is obvious, it is being built in the style of a Nostalgic Gasser. You can call it a Rat Rod if you want to use the most recent trendy label. Myself, I had all intentions of putting a nice school bus yellow paint job on it after fine tuning the chassis & cab body & detail work. The new owner can make that final decision.

Thus far I have invested near $23,000 in the best and most desirable parts that money can buy and over 200 hours labor. At $50 to $75 and hour typical shop rates, you can do the math on the labor. I have decided to sell my home and move down south within a year or so and this project, among many, many other goodies must go. The list of my collection includes another complete Blown 392 Hemi, A Small Block Chevy Blower setup, Neon signs, Slot Machines, Gas Pumps & many more collectibles.

LIST BELOW IS THAT WORK COMPLETED ON THE 48 FORD TRUCK PROJECT THUS FAR

Cab & Chassis - 1948 Ford 1/2 ton pickup. Cab had lower 6 inches removed & is channeled down over frame. Door bottoms are installed. Roof is not chopped. All brand new body rubber and glass is included along with a power window kit and fuse block for wiring the whole truck. Glass kit includes parts to eliminate wing windows and of course, glass is cut to fit full opening. Side & rear window are blue tinted and windshield is clear.

Suspension - Front end is new dropped axle. Posies 2 leaf springs. complete disc brake setup. chrome shocks. The rear is an S&W ladder bar with coil over shocks and a 9 inch Ford housing. The housing is a stock length 63 Ford Galaxie. I have no center section but everything else is included with rear. If I remember right, it has 28 spline axles and is a drum brake setup and I did not buy any new brake parts just yet for the rear.

Wheels & Tires - Front are ET Gasser 15x6 spoked wheels with Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires. Rear are ET Five Window 15x10 with Mickey "I" series N50s. Both are satin gray finished centers with polished rims. Cost on this package was near $1800.

Steering - 94 Camaro tilt column coupled to original steering box. Box is relocated and all parts are included to rebuild the original box & drag link thus keeping the nostalgic look.

Front End appearance & Cab - In creating the old gasser look, I installed a new steel 32 Ford stainless grill & steel grill shell along with King Bee stainless headlamps mounted on stainless brackets. Everything is moved rear on the frame approx. 12 inches to give it the 32 Ford chassis look. This frame is much more sturdy and wider than an earlier frame would be. The "wide" engine and exhaust all fits nicely between the frame rails.

Engine - Power is a late 1957 Chrysler, 392 Hemi. Everything is new and/or rebuilt including an over bore, stainless headers, a mini/hi torque starter, chrome alternator, polished BB chevy water pump and of course a BDS 671 blower. Valve covers are a set of original M/Ts. The engine was run on a dyno after completion and is rated at 645 HP at 6000 RPMs. The dyno printout sheet is included. Current cost of this engine from Big Al's Toy Box in Connecticut is $18K and does not include the headers, alternator, starter or water pump. I think you could easily add another $1000 as such. One of the pictures here on the auction is a detailed list provided by the engine builder of the work/parts relating to the engine.

Trans & adapter - A billet aluminum adapter and new flywheel is installed on the engine in order to couple it to a "Fresh" 650 HP rated TH400 GM trans. A new performance converter is include as well. I have not had a drive shaft made as of yet but everything is otherwise mounted for the driveline, front to rear.

Bed - I hand built the bed and installed the louvers in the solid mounted tailgate and the fuel cell box within the bed. The fuel cell is mounted as well. I have oak wood strips and plywood cut to install over the steel bed floor for a nice finished look. I have repo 48 Chevy tail lamps and a aluminum "lighted" license plate frame mounted on tail gate. Rear fenders are included if you wish to install them.

Interior - I mounted a set of Kirkey aluminum racing seats with purple covers. The dash panel is covered in purple vinyl. Gauges included are, Gas, Oil Pres, Water Temp, Volts, Trans Temp, Tach & Speedo. All are electric sending units including the Speedo. Auto-Meter gauges and a Sun Pro tach. Most of the floor and firewall are cut & installed. Brake cyl. & pedal assembly is included but will need mounted. Steering column is mounted and needs some finish work.

1982 Camaro Pro Street project with clean Pennsylvania title

FOR SALE  here is a Pro Street or Strip project 1982 Camaro with a clean Pa. title. It was purchased from the estate of a fellow who was well known for his work in the field of car building and has completed many Pro cars and performance restorations for his loyal customers. He was building this Camaro for himself when he became ill and recently lost his battle with that illness. I would approximate that there is near five thousand dollars in parts included and/or installed in the project, not to mention, somewhere in excess of 60 or 70 hours of labor and I may be low on that hourly estimation. Professional shop labor can cost from $50 to $70 an hour or more and you can do the math.

Below I made my best effort to list all the individual parts included along with lots of pictures. It is full framed & caged as you will see in the pictures. The rear is a narrowed 9 inch Ford housing with disc brake brackets installed. No calipers were included and I can not say what calipers the brackets require. It has a set of Strange SS axles which I assume are 31 spline and no center section was included.

Front suspension includes chrome tubular lower a-arms with KONI struts and rack & pinion steering. The spindles appear to be the original used ones with disc brake rotors and, again, no calipers were included. As it sits, it will roll on its chassis. Most of the parts were sourced from S&W Race Cars in Spring City Pa. You are more than welcome to check out the cost of those many items on their website. Here is the link - http://www.swracecars.com/

All the outer body panels are included less a hood. The rear bumper assembly and cover are restorable and the front bumper assembly along with the turn signals & headlamps is fine but could use a new rubber bumper cover. All that stuff is readily available at the local yard for a reasonable price as they fit from 82 to 92. I will include a nice Pro hood scoop that will put the finishing touch to any stock hood. The glass is all there and the doors have manual windup windows. Shown in the pictures is the pre-fitted interior floor panels & tubs that came with the car. Also include & pictured are new Soft-Seal rubbers for the doors & hatch along with 4 new hood & hatch lift cylinders.

Believe me, I've built my share of Performance & Hot Rod cars and the pain in the butt stuff is already completed on this one. It is setting on 4 tires and will roll around your shop with ease.

CLARK 2000 LB. FORK LIFT

At auction here is an older CLARK fork lift. I would suspect it dates in the 50s or 60s. It runs great and is very compact for use in small areas.

If I'm correct, it has a 4 cyl. continental engine. Stick shift trans with forward, reverse, Hi & Low speeds. I installed a new set of engine gauges and a later model alternator to replace the old generator. I also replaced the mechanical fuel pump with a modern electronic pump. It runs on gasoline which may cost 4 bucks a gallon till I sell this thing. Just don't take it on a long trip as it probably get awful gas mileage.

The capacity plate says 2000 lbs. and the forks lift approx. 10 ft. 6 in. The hard rubber tires are just fine and it doesn't leak fluids all over the floor. It may end up needing a new battery as it is about 4 or 5 years old.
